What are some tips to remember when creating my profile?

The number of replies you get from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here are some helpful tips that will help you:

Upload a photograph: People like to see who they're writing to and as a result, profiles with photographs get up to ten times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. You can either upload a photo from a digital camera or a scanner. If you don't have access to a scanner, we can do if for you (for a nominal fee). See the "How do I upload photos?" section for details.

Create a catchy title for your profile: When members search listings on the site, the title of your profile is listed next to your name. As a general rule, profile titles like "Hi!" do not catch people's attention, where as more personalized titles do.

Think before you write: Feel free to write as much as you want in our essay portions of the sign-up pages. Tell other members about yourself, for instance: your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more later. And don't forget to fill out the optional profile questions - these will also help other members get to know you even better.

How do I temporarily turn my listing off?

To "turn off" your profile so that other members cannot see it, log into the site with your handle and password. Then:

1. Click on the "My Account" link in the top navigation bar of the site page.
2. Click the "Disable Profile" link in the Account section.
3. Click "Disable Profile" to turn your profile off.
4. Click the update button next to that section.

How do I permanently remove my listing and delete my account?

NOTE: Please make sure you have auto-renewal turned off before removing your profile.

To permanently delete your profile:

1. Log into the site with your handle and password.
2. Click on the "My Account" link at the top of the page.
3. Click on the "Delete Account" link in the Account section.
4. Click on the "Permanently Delete My Entire Account" link.
5. Enter your password and click the "Yes, delete my account" button.

How do I update my profile?

To update your profile:

1. Log into the site using your handle and password.
2. Click on the "My Account" link.
3. There are two links in the Profile section that you can use to update your profile: "Basic Profile" and "Profile Options".

• "Basic Profile" contains the most crucial information about you (name, birthday, age, location, etc.).
• "Profile Options" helps to fill in the details about you, such as your level of education, occupation, and marital status, as well as containing vital data about your features, from height and body type to hair color.

Does your account have the wrong gender status?

Members are not allowed to change gender status by themselves. If you have a compelling reason to change your gender status (like you made a mistake when registering), please contact AdultMatchClub Customer Service. After reviewing your request, they will make any changes/updates that need to be made.

Why does it say 'Rate This Photo' at the bottom of some photos?

Some members want you to let them know what you think of their photos. Click on one of the ratings (between 1 and 10) below the picture. Every time someone rates the photo, it affects the average score. If you want to turn on/off voting on your own photos, click 'View Profile' on your home page, then you'll be able to turn voting on/off for each photo.

Note: If you turn voting off on any photo it will reset the vote counter to zero.

What is a profile 'highlight'?

Profile highlights are attention-getting background colors that show up every time someone sees one of your emails or sees you in their search results, so your profile stands out from all the others. To learn more or to order a highlight, click 'Highlight' on your home page.

How do I upload Private Gallery photos?

Adding a photo to your profile is an excellent idea that will TRIPLE the number of responses you get from other members. To upload a photo, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Add/Edit Photos" link on your member homepage.
2. Click on the "Upload Photo" link in the slot that you want to upload the photo to.
3. Click on "Browse" and select the file you want to upload.
4. Click "Upload Photo".

• Must be in Gif or Jpg (jpeg) format
• no larger than 4 MB in filesize
• not a copyrighted photo or image

How long does it take to have my profile/photo(s) approved?

Profiles and photos are all subject to our approval process and may take anywhere between 24-72 hours to review. Any photos or profiles that do not adhere to our Terms of Service or are deemed unacceptable will be denied.

Why was my profile denied?

If your profile was denied, it was most likely denied for one or more of the following reasons:

• Containing personal contact information
• Not meeting the minimum word count
• Having repetitive or invalid content
• Including banned or inappropriate topics
• The account handle is inappropriate for the site
• The language used is not supported by the site

Why was my photo(s) denied?

We apologize for the inconvenience. Your photo may have been denied for one of the following reasons:

• Inappropriate imagery
• Included children in the photo
• Included animals in the photo
• Photo had more than one person in the photo (for non-couple or non-group accounts only)
• Photoshopped or doctored photos
• Included cartoons or anime
• Copyrighted photo/image

Why am I not listed in Search and Browse? How can I update my location?

In order to be correctly listed in the Search and Browse sections, your profile location must be updated with the correct information. The most common reason for not being listed in the Search and Browse sections is having an incorrect city and/or zip code for the "Lives in" section of your profile. To update your location information:

1. Log into the site using your handle and password.
2. Click on the "My Account" link at the top of the page.
3. Click on the "Geographical Location" link in the Profile section.
4. Select the appropriate country and click on the "Submit" button.
5. Check and/or revise your entries for city and zip code.
6. Click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to update your location.

What is "Email Availability"?

This feature allows you to prevent people who don't match your Cupid settings from sending you email. Someone who doesn't match what you're looking for (i.e., wrong gender, wrong age, etc.) will see only a shaded area in your profile, rather than the normal email form.

What is a voice greeting and how do I create one?

You can add a personal touch to your profile by recording a Voice Greeting to introduce yourself to the people checking you out.

To record a Voice Greeting, go to your homepage and click the "Voice Greeting" link in the Profile box.

Once our voice recording software finishes loading, a set-up box will ask if you want to allow AdultMatchClub to access your camera and microphone. Click "allow."

Now you're ready! Take a moment to plan out what you want to say, then click the "Record" button and start talking. When you're finished, click "Stop." You can listen to the recording by clicking "Play." If you like your message, click "Save" to immediately add it to your profile, or click "Redo" to erase it and try again.

You can only add one Voice Greeting to your profile, with a maximum time of two minutes.

You may need to adjust your microphone settings to get the best quality recording. Click the microphone icon in the upper right corner to access the microphone controls.
